· Member of IHSAA 4A Sectional #12
· Two Certified Athletic Trainers on staff, full-time CSCS Strength and Conditioning Coach,
Academic Support Coach on staff
· Great facilities; including state of the art Sports Performance Facility, Armstrong Indoor Pavilion,
athletics annex building with locker rooms and team meeting room/classroom/offices, and a
Field-Turf multi-purpose field.
Qualifications:
· Previous playing and/or coaching experience preferred
· Currently possess or has ability to obtain IHSAA coaching certification
· Excellent communication and leadership skills
· Knowledge and ability to develop a pitching progression/program
· Ability to form positive relationships with student-athletes, school staff, and community members
· Ability to assist Varsity Head Coach organize, supervise, and administer all phases of an
education-based baseball program

Job Summary: The Head Coach is responsible for planning, directing, and leading an education-based athletic program focused on the academic and athletic growth of student-athletes.
Qualifications: 1 Meets the head coaching requirements of the IHSAA
2 Ability to organize and oversee all aspects of a successful athletic program
3 Prior experience coaching in an education-based athletic program
4 Currently certified in CPR/First Aid/AED or ability to obtain certification
Reports to: Athletic Director
Responsibilities: 1 Organize, schedule, and supervise practice sessions.
2 Perform annual evaluations of other coaches on the Baseball staff.
3 Maintain records & statistics of contests and see that they are submitted to the appropriate people.
4 Accepts and implements the statement of philosophy of the Southwestern Athletic Department
5 Willingness to attend clinics and/or seminars in order to improve coaching skills and stay current with trends in coaching, training, and conditioning.
6 Keeps track of all uniforms and equipment issued to student-athletes.
7 Only allows athletes certified by the Athletic Director to participate.
